Municipality located in the Northwest Region of Murcia , the term encompasses just over eight thousand acres , situated one of the most mountainous areas of the region, and whose history is inextricably linked to the culture of the vine, both population and its surroundings where there are a large number of ancient cellars , and even archaeological finds such as Roman sculpture ” Child of the Grapes ” found in the Villa of Los Cantos.
Today, this cultural richness associated with wine, disclosed in its WINE ROUTE , certified since 2007 as one of the Wine Routes of Spain . Road presents the visitor the diversity and natural heritage , forged in the town over time. It is open and serves no predefined path, and highlights local tourism through ancient and modern landscapes of vineyards and wineries among other resources. This benchmark enjoyed today at the Wine Museum , and the willingness to preserve the old techniques with the innovative spirit of cooperatives and local wineries, which together with the orographic situation of vines, located at high altitudes , above 600 m . above sea level and protected by a Mediterranean climate with particular characteristics , whose average temperature is 15.6 ° C , where the winters are cold but short and long, hot summers , is the main value of the excellent quality of the wines of the Appellation of Origin Bullas .
The central square España, Vieja and Castillo become the central starting point for a tour of the resort, where we are greeted the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary , BIC since 1982 , along with the Palace of the Melgares to get into narrow and steep streets screened with colorful facades , where the first Sunday of each month host the staging of local products Market Zacatín pioneer in the region.
Bullas cuenta con un nutrido calendario festivo y tradicional que despierta el interés de los visitantes.
- A comienzos de octubre se celebran las Fiestas Patronales en honor a la Virgen del Rosario, con la peculiar Diana, el desfile de carrozas y la Ofrenda Floral.
- En la actualidad tiene lugar la Fiesta del Vino en los meses de febrero y marzo, desarrollándose un buen número de actividades tales como rutas promocionales, cenas de maridaje, exposiciones, conciertos, etc.
- El último fin de semana de abril se celebra San Marcos, momento de exaltación del mundo rural con un multitudinario desfile de carrozas que congrega a miles de personas ataviadas al modo tradicional. La Semana Santa es también muy participativa, con cinco cofradías pasionarias y cuatro desfiles procesionales el Jueves Santo, Viernes Santo (mañana y noche) y Domingo de Resurrección.
- La Noche de San Juan en junio es escenario de la representación de la antigua leyenda de la Bajada de la Mora del Castellar al paraje del Salto del Usero.
- La pedanía de La Copa de Bullas vive también momentos singulares en la Fiesta de la Purísima en diciembre (con los ancestrales cantos de los auroros) y de San Antón en enero, donde se desarrolla la popular “Subasta” y el tradicional “Baile del Inocente”.

Every first Sunday of the month from 9 am to 14 pm, in the vicinity of the Plaza Vieja and Plaza del Castillo, Bullas craft market celebrates this pioneer in Región de Murcia to begin in 1994. Each month the business focuses on performing shows in alluding to the same direct by the artisans own product. The activities are complemented by guided local heritage for visitors.

Exceptionally this month the market will not be held to coincide with the feast of Kings.
FEBRUARY 2
Revive an old medieval market with its jugglers , music, artisans and vintage dresses . Blacksmiths reproduce the atmosphere of the time , forging iron fire .
MARCH 2
Enjoy a succulent gastronomic journey : elaborate traditional chunky crumbs taste and pork products , coinciding with Lafiesta Wine .
APRIL 6
Discover the natural flavors with the distillation of aromatic plants , and know the medicinal uses of Aloe- vera.
MAY 4
The esparteros show us the more traditional ways of making pleita , cordage and sandals .
JUNE 1
Market Baroque. We denote the time of independence in 1690 Bullas .
JULY 6
Carpenters craftsmen show us the expertise of their craft , shaping wood, plus we will refresh with crook .
AUGUST 3
The artisans of the potters hands will shape the turning and decorated in different parts , plus we will refresh with crook .
SEPTEMBER 7
From the wheel to the loom , we will demonstrate spinning, weaving and handmade bobbin lace.
OCTOBER 5
The growing grapes and making wine is part of the local culture, are at harvest time and we are shown the process of making wine , while the quality of the wines of the Appellation of Origin is tasted Bullas .
NOVEMBER 2
‘ll Sort Goats cheese and elaborate traditional way , to the delight of all present.
DECEMBER 7
They will enjoy a gastronomic journey with Christmas atmosphere , Christmas cakes will be developed , popular dishes of the cuisine will be tasting , with wines from the Denomination of Origin Bullas .
In addition the City of Bullas establishes a Tourist Information Point in the Market , in which cultural and natural supply of the town is promoted .
Visiting the Market El Zacatín is a good way to see the sights and places of this town in the interior of the region , while its rich cuisine accompanied by quality wines savored .
Bullas has a varied natural environment, where forest areas dominated by fields of vines and almond crops are mixed. Stresses the upper reaches of the river Mula, with landmarks such as the Salto del Usero (a natural waterfall several meters in height), the Pasico Ucenda or the Pequeño Benidorm, regular bathing in the hot summer months. Montes as Castellar, Garci Sanchez or La Lavia offer its rich tracts of Aleppo pine.

The former route of the railway line between Murcia and Caravaca de la Cruz is today the Northwest Greenway, a distance of over 70 kilometers through landscapes of captivating natural landscape of forests, hills, meadows, vineyards and unique places as the Barranco de la Regidora near the Cristo del Carrascalejo, place of worship for the inhabitants of the region.

This route of 18 km in length and easy to perform allows us to know the flora and fauna of the area and its large agricultural and forest wealth. Bullas also has various paths of small tour (4 to 10 km) as the Romero-Venta del Pino, Atalayas, El Castellar, La Silla and Mula River.

This former manor house dating from 1900 is intended, as a trip back in time, recreating the lifestyles in the late nineteenth century by the figure of Don José Marsilla Melgares, “Don Pepe,” landowner, mayor and local benefactor. La Casa is also the home of the “Itinerary Bullas 1900” that through the main streets of Bullas where old houses are located leading to the magnificent Torre del Reloj, built in the same year to control batches irrigation farmers.

This important archaeological site, put in value recently, was a large agricultural complex was developed between the first and fourth centuries AD. It has a “domus” or perfectly enclosed residential area and thermal baths of considerable size that said it was a transit.
